Construction
(Design and Management) Co-ordinator.
If you are about to embark on a construction project, including alteration,
extension or demolition of an existing structure then the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 place a number
of specific legal duties on you.
On non-domestic projects which will last 30 days or 500 person days or more the
Client is legally required to appoint an adviser entitled "CDM Co-coordinator" befoe any significant design work
commences, so that they can assist and advise on the Client's duties. A Client is an individual or organisation for whom
a construction project is carried out. Clients are responsible for appointing the CDM Co-coordinator.
At Antrim Safety our CDM co-ordinator service includes:
-The provision of suitable and sufficient advice
and assistance to the Client to assist themwith their duties, in particular:
(1) the duty to appoint competent
designers and contractors; and
(2) the duty to ensure that adequate arrangements are in place for managing the
project.
(3) Project Notification to the HSE / HSENI
(4) Co-ordination of design work, planning and
other preparation for construction where relevant to Health and Safety
(5) Identification and collection of the
pre-construction information; advice to the client if surveys need to be commissioned to fill significant gaps.
(6)Prompt
provision in a convenient form, of the pre-construction information relevant to each party involved in the design of the structure;and
to every contractor (including the Principal Contractor) who may be or has been appointed by the client.

The management of the flow of health and safety information between clients, designers and contractors.
(8) Advice
to the client on the suitability of the initial construction phase Health and Safety plan and the arrangements made to ensure
that welfare arrangements are suitable and on site from the start of the project.
(9) The production of a relevant,
user friendly, health and safety file suitable for future use at the end of the construction phase.
Additional Services
We provide total support throughout
the construction phase. As well as the statutory requirements outlined above, we can remain on hand and organise site inspections
and will be available for meetings and planning throughout the duration of a project. We provide on-going assistance and support
with:
- A Client dedicated consultant to develop individual requirements by providing management support and expert
planning to achieve your company aims.
-Competent person support as required under the Management of Health and
Safety at Work Regulations.
-Project safety inspections and audits
- Support and assistance in the event
of an accident or insurance claim
-Full availability during the life of the project
